B.A. Criminal Justice
The B.A. in Criminal Justice provides knowledge of the foundations, principles and procedures of the criminal
justice system. The program deals with the three components of the criminal justice system: law enforcement,
courts, and corrections. All students become acquainted with these areas and with the application of other
bodies of knowledge to the criminal justice system.

B.A. Political Science
The primary goals of the Political Science program are to provide students with a broad academic base within
the discipline and the opportunity for practical experiences related to the development of marketable skills.
Curriculum offerings are designed to introduce students to all of the main divisions within the field while
providing them with experience essential for the integration of history and practice through carefully supervised
internships.

B.A. Psychology
The Psychology program provides quality instruction in the discipline of psychology to prepare students to
pursue careers in psychology and psychology- related fields, and to provide psychological services, when
appropriate, to the University and community.

B.A. Technical and Professional Writing
The curriculum prepares students for graduate study in English, French, and other allied fields such as law,
medicine, and communications. Additionally, graduates are prepared to teach in public schools and for careers
in publishing, public relations, government, business, and industry.

The Rehabilitation Counseling and Case Management
The Rehabilitation Counseling and Case Management Program, professionally accredited by The Council on
Rehabilitation Counselor Education (CORE), focuses upon providing training for students who are interested
in working with the physically and emotionally disabled. This program also requires extensive field experience.
It prepares professional rehabilitation counselors to work effectively with individuals who have physical, mental,
or emotional disabilities, assisting them to achieve, to the fullest capacity, vocational, social, psychological and
economic independence, and improved quality of life. Graduates of the Rehabilitation Counseling program are
eligible to sit for the national certifying examination in order to obtain the Certified Rehabilitation Counselors
(CRC) credential.
